With our friends we often exaggerate the good in them and quickly forgive them if they make a mistake, plus, we cheer them on! Those are the best kinds of friends to have! Compared to the person who always complains, always talks about “someday” and never seems to be totally happy… what does that do to your energy? Well, what type of conversations are you having with yourself? Don’t pretend like you don’t talk to yourself all day long… it’s all in your head, and everyone does it, so just see how you line up with these examples.
Compare these thoughts:| I’m so flabby | My body responds perfectly to what I eat and how hard I exercise! |
| I’m grumpy after 8 p.m. | I choose happiness around the clock; going to bed early makes me smile in my sleep! |
| My kids always whine | I’m teaching my kids how to use “nice” voices and they are doing better everyday. |
| My husband doesn’t appreciate all the work I do around here | My husband works hard each day, just like I do. I take the time to thank him, and it is becoming easier for him to recognize what I’ve done. |
| I never have time to do what I love | What I do with each hour of the day is up to me, and I love life enough to live it FULL OUT right now, and do what makes me happy so I can, in turn, make others happy! |
Go ahead, read it out loud. See what saying nice things to yourself will do for YOURSELF!
This week, tap into positive thinking and speaking, not to be a cheese ball, but because that’s what we’re designed to experience.
Write your “old” personal dialogue with the “new” replacement, right here, right now!
Because in the end, the loudest voice of all is your own; so CHOOSE to make it a kind and empowering one.
